Oy, so much vision went into this picture, but the results were far from adequate for technical reasons.

and so what did the young shochet use ? new spectacles?

No, not yet. The only thing I've managed to Shecht so far is my hand which I lacerated six times just on the first day having that knife.
Ouch. And I thought waxing was painful.

ok first of all, what other blog?
and second, you cannot shecht sheep. sheep are cute, and they be'eh.. and you might not have it in you..after my dad shechted his first chicken he said:never again. he couldnt. not everyone can shecht. especially cute little itty bitty beh'ing sheep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

shechita is a mitzvah from the torah.
DFC- That's why the Halacha is that a Shochet must be Muchzak not to be repulsed by blood and faint. I'm a bit of a sadist myself...

i have nothing against shechito.or shechting sheep. i was definately not jesting it in any way.i know it's a mitzvah, i come from a frum background as you well know. i myself am a very caring person and i have the personality of a shepherd rather than a shochet, so you can understand my sympathy for the sheep.

question-
when you become a shochet, sh'ub, does that automatically include the bedikos part too??? checking the lungs...
Shu"b means Shochet U'Bodek doesn't it?
For a Kabbala in Shechitas Gasos you need to know all the Bedikos too.

Yes, all the Treifos. Even though we don't check for all Treifos because of Chazaka, if you should encounter one it would render the animal Treif.
